The confessions of a former global warmer

Russ Steele

Dr. David Evans worked for the Australian Greenhouse Office from 1999 to 2005. He recently declared, “I used to believe that carbon emissions probably caused global warming.”  Now he explains how he came to distrust the science and the political motives of those supporting claims of CO2 generated global warming.   This short paper by Dr Evans is an awesome indictment of the whole anthropogenic CO2 charade. Please read it and tell me if you still believe Al Gore is right.   Download D-Evans2007.pdf

This is one brave man.

A very enlightening paper. I must admit to never being very convinced of human-induced climate change; the climate is always changing and what has been happening since the late 70s doesn't look out of the ordinary when you compare it with historical temperature data. I think some people who support the climate change agenda are really anti-change and are disturbed by progress in society. They have an ideal of rural life, uncluttered with technology. Somewhow simpler and more wholesome. But it was never like that - the reality was that life was disease-ridden, hard and short, with infant mortality above 50%. I can't sign up to any agenda that risks keeping part of the world living like that now; it is horribly immoral.

Heh, Anthony would be the first one to post on this ;-). (Hi, I'm a SS.org and CA.org reader). You are brave too, Anthony, but this sort of bravery will be necessary to get the world to listen. Russ, an excellent paper...well-formed arguments and a great starter paper for those who want to know the 'other side' of the issue.

Very good paper. Another, more introductive article is here : http://www.zetetique.org/global_warming.html
