The Pacific Institute has published the result of the first annual Bad Science (BS) of the Year Award. My comments are in [brackets].
In response, a group of climate scientists, climate communicators, and other experts solicited nominations for Climate B.S* of the Year from around the world and then narrowed the list down to five finalists. Voting produced the following award winners:
Fifth Place. Climate B.S. and misrepresentations presented by Fox "News." [ No proof, only a unsupported claim. The left loves to bash Fox News. ]
Fourth Place. Misleading or false testimony to Congress and policymakers about climate change. [They must be taking about Michael Mann testimony before Congress.]
Third Place. The false claim that a single weather event, such as a huge snowstorm in Washington, D.C., proves there is no global warming. [ As apposed to the lame stream press who claims that record temperatures are proof of global warming. If warming is proof of warming, why is record cold not proof of no warming?]
Second Place. The false claim that the "Climategate" emails meant that global warming was a hoax, or was criminal. In fact, it was none of these things. [ OK, then what about those “fudge factors” in the modeling code? What was all that made up data all about if not out right fraud? What about “hide the decline”? What about the lost and destroyed data? I guess that none of these perpetuate a hoax or are criminal in the minds of the anonymous “group of climate scientists, climate communicators, and other experts.” Really?]
AND THE WINNER OF THE 2010 CLIMATE B.S.* OF THE YEAR AWARD?
First Place. "There has been no warming since 1998" [or 2000, or…], "the earth is cooling," "global warming is natural," and "humans are too insignificant to affect the climate." All of these claims are false according to climate science. [ Really? Where are their facts?]
The award goes to all those climate change deniers who promulgate these false claims in the media, before Congress and the public, and throughout the blogosphere: such statements are all nonsense and long refuted by real climate science. For full details on each prize winner's contribution to climate B.S., visit one of the posting sites.
All right I am one of those blogger that claim there is no significant global warming since 1989. Where is the warming?
Yes, global warming and are cooling are natural
If humans and CO2 are the cause of warming, then why does it cool when CO2 is increasing and warming when CO2 is not increasing:
Yes, I am very proud to be one of the BS winners.
