The Sac Bee has the story in the Capitol Alert:
State Controller John Chiang today updated his online presentation of local government salary information and listed hundred of agencies who have failed to hand over the data Chiang demanded last fall.
The database, launched in the wake of scandals in the city of Bell, offers information on salaries, pensions and benefits for public employees and elected officials in hundreds of cities, counties and special districts across California.
While Chiang today said about 80 percent of special districts had turned over the information, more than a hundred missed the deadline and dozens of others filed insufficient reports.
All 58 County Governments have complied, according Chiang's report. A completed list of non-complying agencies can be found here.
The one Special districts failing to file in Nevada County is the North San Juan Fire Protection District! Is anyone surprised?
