Did you notice this article at "Science Daily"? Not only is the Sun very quiet, but the effect on the boundary between Earth's atmosphere and "outer space" is affected by the lack of extreme ultraviolet radiation from the Sun. I hadn't heard of that.

I wonder if it has any effect on Earth's weather--and, of course, if the Sun stayed unusually quiet, what effect would there be on climate? Maybe none--I just don't know what happens when the boundary moves closer to Earth's surface.
