For years we have been hearing from the “warmers” that increasing CO2 will be bad for California Agriculture. Well not yet, when in fact it looks like it is beneficial.

A trio of scientists, Lobell, Cahill, Field, 2007 collected daily minimum temperature, maximum temperature, and precipitation data for 382 stations in California, and they collected the yield data for the 12 crops from 1980 to 2003. As seen above, despite all the gloom and doom about CO2 increases there is upward trend in yields in virtually every crop they examined!
