In a previous post here about a study or California temperature trends, I showed a graphic that indicted Western Nevada County had a 0.41 to 0.60 C positive temperature change from 1950 to 2000.
You can click on the graphic for a larger image.
I was suspicious, as I have been tracking the local temperature trends and this increase did not match my memory of local trends. So, I took a second look and plotted the average annual temperature for Grass Valley from 1950 to 2000, with a mean (blue line) and a regression line (green line) to capture the over all trend. I will have to order the final study and see how LaDochy etal calculated local temperature growth, and their data source, as their plot does not make much sense when I look at my Grass Valley temperature plot.
