We pulled into Holbrook AZ about 11:45 taking the second exit off of I-40 into the downtown, hanging a left toward the city park. The house we lived in 1973 was across the street from the city park. Ellen hopped out to take some pictures of our old house, while I parked the rig. Total time about five minutes. The Hollbrook EMS was just three blocks down the street. In the next few minutes we found the EMS Building at 410 E Iowa Street did our survey. Twenty minutes after leaving the freeway we had another surface station survey in the bag.
Holbrook is not the best in the west, with the sensor 30 feet from a cinder block building and paved street, and some spare vehicles only a few feet away. A line of trees on the east side of the lot provides early morning summer shade, with none in the hotter afternoons. Also this sensor is not the standard 5.5 feet off the ground, it was 4.5 feet off the ground.
