I am looking forward to hear Warren Meyer and Joe Nation discuss "Climate Change Facts and Questions: Perspectives on the Policy and Science of Global Warming" Details here. I will be checking the County Supervisors reaction to California's save the planet initiatives and the CO2 cap and trade program proposed by the Western Climate Initiative. The Initiative would limit emissions across four provinces and seven states, including California and the entire West Coast according to a SF Chronicle article. I guess that Nevada or Idaho are not considered part of the west coast by the Chronicle. They have wisely opted out of the WCI, and will perhaps benefit. I will be interest to see if the Supervisors think they will lose business to Nevada and Idaho, or farther east to Tennessee. I will be writing about the failure of existing cap and trade programs.
