Michael Mann developed the "hockey stick" which became the global warming icon and was widely distributed in UN IPCC documents and the global press. The only problem is that the "hockey stick" has been widely discredited, but that has not stopped Dr Mann from trying to salvage his work, not by proving it is correct, but by trying to discredit his critics.
Dr Mann's hockey stick started to get some serious splinters and a major split when Steve McIntyre and Ross McKitrick demonstrated the methods and models used by Dr.Mann produced hockey sticks regardless of the data it was fed. Then the Wegmen Report, requested by US Representative Barton, busted the shaft of the hockey stick beyond repair. But, Dr.Mann can not accept the fact he is dealing in trash science and launches an attack on Lawrance Solomon who writes in the Financial Post, one of Canada's leading newspapers: Mann's conclusions not to be believed.
