According to a CBS Poll, Republican U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina has increased her lead over Democratic incumbent Barbara Boxer to five percentage points.
This is according to a new CBS 5 KPIX-TV poll released Thursday. The CBS 5 poll was conducted by the research firm Survey USA, showing that Fiorina was edging Boxer 47 percent to 42 percent. This is compared to a CBS poll one month ago, showing Fiorina over Boxer 47 to 45 percent.
As the economy tanks Fiorina is gaining ground. With 10% unemployment forecast by November, her lead should be well over 50% which is a winning poll number.
