By now we have all heard from the lame stream press about the missing phytoplankton, the ubiquitous soup of microscopic life in the ocean. We are doomed, they tell us we are domed.
If you are concerned then you should read a Guest Post by Willis Eschenbach at Watts Up With That where he tests the common sense of the scientific claims and finds their claims do not meet the reasonableness test. And, as many climate scientist are prone to do, they fail to provide the data and computer codes for examination and replication.
Willis Concludes in his excellent analysis:It is a shame that they did not post their data and code, because other than the lack of data and code it is a fascinating analysis of a very interesting dataset. I don’t accept their analysis of the data because it doesn’t pass the “reasonableness” test, but that doesn’t mean that the dataset does not contain valuable information.
