I have been on Al Gore’s Repower America mail list for several years, it was a good way to keep track of what the left was doing. Maggie L. Fox Chief Executive Officer, Climate Protection Action Fund at Repower America sent me this e-mail titled -- Victory
Dear Russell,
On Tuesday, Californians soundly voted "no" on Proposition 23, the ballot proposal that would have effectively overturned the state's groundbreaking climate and clean energy law.
Out-of-state oil companies spent millions to bankroll Proposition 23, but you worked your heart out to stop them. Repower America volunteers in six offices across California made over 200,000 phone calls. Because of Repower America volunteers like you, voters across the political spectrum chose to continue our country's vital transition to clean, renewable energy.
No mention of the $31 million spent to oppose Prop 23 by Al Gore’s lefty friends, just recognition that the fight is not over, and a request for more donations. The donation button was just below this e-mail.
But the fight isn't over yet. We must continue to work together for strong clean energy policies across the country. Oil and fossil fuel companies will use all of their resources to oppose us, but we will not let them succeed. We are lucky to have all of you on our team as we work toward a clean energy future.
Exit question: What should the Pro Prop 23 organizations do now?
