I was wondering how long it would be before Lamphier started entertaining us with his lack of leadership skills. Not long according to this report in The Union.
Nevada County District 3 Supervisor Terry Lamphier, who represents Grass Valley, raised his concerns following the meeting.
“I think the construction of Dorsey will lead to a huge and permanent change to the character of our community,” Lamphier said. “I'd feel a lot better about it if I knew the majority of voters and taxpayers supported it in these times of fiscal constraint. Also, I'm troubled by the number of times I heard the word ‘risk' used regarding the costs.”
I thought that the Grass Valley citizens elected Lamphier to represent them in the decision making process, in other words to lead. Will he have to hold public meetings before all major decisions to determine "will of the people" before he votes on critical issues? Or, is he just waiting for his no growth puppet masters to whisper in his ear? I thought his campaign was all about determining the "will of the people." Terry, man up!
