There is change in the air and our political leaders are coming to grips with some of the past actions of liberal Democrats to conrol the earths climate:
1) The Republican Leadership shutters the Select Committee for Energy Independence and Global Warming.
This committee which was created by Nancy Pelosi in 2006. It held 80 hearing, providing a platform for hundreds of global warming supporters. It also crafted the 2009 climate change bill that never made it through the Senate. It does not have a sterling record of accomplishments. Congratulations to the Republican Leadership!
2) Court Orders University to Surrender Global Warming Records.
The Climategate e-mails indicated there may have been some fraud in the use of public funds by Professor Michael Mann who at the time taught at the University of Virginia and was the a Lead Author for the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli asked the University for Michael Mann e-mails and correspondence, and the University refused.
Yesterday the Courts ordered the University to release the documents that they once claimed did not exist. As back up, the American Tradition Institute Environmental Law Center, also asking the University of Virginia to produce important ‘global warming’ records under the Commonwealth’s Freedom of Information Act.
We will soon have more insight in to the global warming fraud created by the UN IPCC. It was during his tenure at UV that Michael Mann produced his famous “Hockey Stick” graphic, which became the global warming icon. Cuccinelli will most likely be interested in Mann's emails that may provide the smoking gun igniting a new storm on a par with that created after the email leaks from the University of East Anglia, England which was the hub of the Climategate scandal. Stay tuned.
3) New Mexico Governor Martinez scraps emissions targets and sacks Environmental Improvement Board
The new Republican governor of New Mexico, Susana Martinez, has wasted no time acting on a campaign promise to roll back environmental regulations, this week she axing state-wide greenhouse gas emissions targets. This move reduces support for the Western Climate Initiative.
Why is this important, New Mexico was one of the last remaining States committed to the proposed regional emissions cap-and-trade scheme, which was being set up by California’s CARB with a number of other western states and Canadian provinces. New Mexico was the only state that had committed to supporting the WCI by participating in CARB’s regional cap and trade scheme. Arizona, Utah, and Nevada had already removed themselves from the WCI and are now targeting California companies seeking lower cost energy.
