The Google Public Data Explorer makes large datasets easy to explore, visualize and communicate. As the charts and maps animate over time, the changes in the world become easier to understand. You don't have to be a data expert to navigate between different views, make your own comparisons, and share your findings.
Above is a screen capture of an interactive graphic on Personal Income per capita for California form the Google visualizer. Page here. Note where is Nevada County relative to other Counties. Personal income was highest was in 2002, and has slipped back since then. Moving the date slider at the bottom shows how Nevada County personal income has grown over the years. The Top Five Counties are in the Bay Area. This is a fun tool to play with.
