One has to wonder if it might not be better to pump the oil and use it, rather than just let it ooze out of the rock and on to the beach. I thought that oil on the beach was a national disasters requiring emergency clean up acton by the government, spurred on by wailing environmentalist demanding reparations by those nasty oil companies.
I guess with no oil companies to blackmail, oil on he beach is OK with the environmentalist and their rent seeking lawyers.
